Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.)‘s mission is to “provide children with the information and skills they need to live drug-and-violence-free lives.” Additionally, D.A.R.E. seeks to create “positive relationships between students and law enforcement, teachers, parents, and other community leaders”
To keep kids drug free, one of the issues D.A.R.E. focuses on is educating kids about gateway drugs. The dangers and solutions of substances such as alcohol and tobacco are discussed.
